(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW is this Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale up until draw time. This week’s jackpot is at $8,888 to the winner, if present. It’s all open to the public and all are invited to take part in raising funds to support the VFW Post Home on North Walnut Street and its work with local Veterans and their families.

(OLNEY) A Christmas Market will be set up this Sunday afternoon from 12:00 to 4:00 at the Olney Eagles, at 215 Fair Street. While open to the public, there will be at least 20 different local vendors to visit, along with baked goods, handmade crafts, and more. There is no cover charge to stop by and shop. (BIBLE GROVE) It’s the monthly Gym Bob’s Jamboree Show this weekend up in Bible Grove, in northern Clay County, with the doors opening at 12:00 noon this Sunday and showtime at 1:00. Hosted by Mike Porter, Marshall Banning, & the Gym Bob’s Jamboree Band, this month’s special will feature the annual “Christmas Show.” While not necessary, reservations can be made by calling 615-481-7418. (OLNEY) The Richland County High School Theater Department presents “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with three performances this weekend in Olney. That’s tonight at 6:30, tomorrow night at 6:30, and Sunday afternoon at 2:00, all in the Richland County Performing Arts Center at RCHS. (FLORA) The Flora Church of the Nazarene will have its “A Night in Bethlehem” this weekend, just off of U.S. Route 50 in Flora. That’s from 6:00 until 8:00 both Saturday night and Sunday night as visitors take a walk through Bethlehem in the days when Jesus Christ was born, with a chance to meet Mary, Joseph, and Babe Jesus, among others, and hear the various stories about their role in the birth of Jesus. It also includes the Bethlehem market with merchants, where children can enjoy making a craft item and everyone can taste a few treats from the Bethlehem bakery.It’s free admission and all ages are welcomed this Saturday and Sunday nights.

(OLNEY) The Full Armor School in Olney will present its Jingle Bell Jubilee this Saturday night from 5:00 to 7:00. The family fun event is open to the entire community with a pizza meal to purchase, photos with Santa from 5:00 to 5:45, a hot cocoa bar, the PTO’s Santa Shop, a sugar cookie making station, an ornament making station, a cake walk, Christmas Bingo, prizes, and more. That’s this Saturday evening in the Full Armor in Olney Gym at 5014 North Route 130.

(OLNEY) Pride Richland County will have a Cookie Walk fundraiser this Saturday morning from 9:00 to 12:00 at the First Presbyterian Church in Olney. All are invited to stop by.

(OLNEY) The Olney Memorial VFW Auxiliary Post #4226 will host a Breakfast With Santa this coming Saturday morning, with serving from 8:00 to 10:30, featuring biscuits, gravy, pancakes, cinnamon sticks, and drinks with tickets at the door. Also a gift basket raffle, pictures with Santa, door prizes, face painting, a cake walk, and a Christmas Card station. All ages are invited.

(SAILOR SPRINGS) The Clay City/Sailor Springs American Legion Post 230 will have another first Saturday of the month breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 10:00, featuring pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks, all for a donation at the door, plus carry outs are available. All ages are welcome to enjoy a great breakfast and support the local Veterans. That’s just off the Clay City / Dieterich Blacktop in Sailor Springs this coming Saturday morning.

(NEWTON) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Newton American Legion Post 20 is this Friday night at 6:30, with the jackpot at $71,855. With serving to start at 5:00, the Queen’s menu includes a choice of pork loin or cube steak with two sides priced at $13.00 each.
