(SPRINGFIELD) Stakeholders interested in submitting public comments on USDA’s reorganization plan have more time now to give their input as the comment period has been extended until September 30th. Unveiled back in July, the USDA plan proposes the relocation of 2,600 employees based now in the Washington, D.C. to five new hubs around the country with the objective of placing the workers closer to farmers throughout the U. S. The new locations include Indianapolis, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Fort Collins, Colorado. Comments are welcomed on the usda.gov website.
