EPA ISSUES WAIVER FOR SALE OF E15

(SPRINGFIELD) The Environmental Protection Agency is issuing an emergency waiver to allow E15 to be sold this summer. Taking effect a week from today on May 1st, retail stations can begin selling E15 a month later on June 1st. Not only does this move for the summer driving season increase fuel supplies, but it more importantly supports American farmers and strengthens the nation’s energy security. Eight Midwestern states will be allowed to sell E15 year-round beginning next summer, in 2025. Along with Illinois, the other states include Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
