FARM EQUIPMENT SALES DOWN

(CHAMPAIGN) The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ February Tractor and Combine Report, released this past Tuesday, shows softness remains in the market to start 2026. Total farm tractor sales in the U.S. declined 12.2% in February, with 9,804 units sold, compared to 11,167 units in February a year ago. Four-wheel drive tractors were the only segment to post a growth, increasing 11.3% from last year. Combine sales dropped 12.6% in February, with 159 units sold, compared to 182 units in 2025. However, year-to-date combine sales increased 15.4%, reflecting continued demand for harvesting efficiency and advanced technology.
