(SPRINGFIELD) Downstate area farmers & agrichemical facilities are reminded to take part in the Illinois Department of Agriculture’s (IDOA) free agrichemical container recycling program this year. Beginning in the middle of July and continuing into August, statewide sites will collect containers that are recycled to make shipping pallets, however this does not include metal and household pesticide containers. Here in our downstate area, there will be a one day only recycling event at the Wabash Valley Service Company near Ellery, in Wabash County, on Wednesday, July 23rd, plus there is a permanent recycling drop off site in Carmi, in White County, at Klein Flying Service.
