In Girls High School Basketball action yesterday at the Benton Christmas Classic Tournament:
- Olney secured a 59-48 victory over Carbondale in the seventh-place game.
- The Lady Tigers were led by Kelysse Weiler with 28 points and Leah Gibson with 17 points.
Olney will be back in action on January 9th, when they host Mt. Carmel in a Little Illini Conference (LIC) matchup at Ron Herrin Gym at RCHS.

- Mt. Vernon defeated Civic Memorial in the championship game, 60-54.
- Carlyle edged Vienna in the third-place game, 40-39.
- Triad won against Mt. Zion for fifth place, 57-35.
- Salem defeated Harrisburg in the consolation championship game, 48-41.
