(EDWARDSVILLE) The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois (GsofSI) has announced that it is an honored recipient of a generous $95,000 grant from Edwardsville Community Foundation. A grant that will be used to enhance the Girl Scout’s property, Camp Torqua, by providing a second storm shelter on the 70-plus acre property, which serves girl scouts from around the downstate region. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois serves nearly 6,400 girls and engages over 3,600 adults in 40 downstate counties, including Richland, Jasper, and others in our area.
