(OLNEY) The Illinois Eastern Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting in September this past Tuesday night at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel. The Board : reviewed the results of a district-wide faculty survey : reviewed an update on district capital projects : accepted the 2024 Annual Security Report, the 2024 Emergency Response Plans, and an updated Violence Prevention Plan : approved various Memorandas of Understanding with Wabash General Hospital for a Paramedic Education Program : approved sixteen affiliation agreements, including those with Helia Healthcare of Olney, The Carle Foundation, Richland Nursing & Rehab, the Richland County TB and Health Office, Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, and ambulance services in Edwards & Wayne Counties (to name a few) : approved revisions to three policies, one each dealing with Background Check Determination, Prohibiting Sex Discrimination, and the State Gift Ban : approved support for an amendment to the Robinson/Crawford Enterprise Zone : and in personnel moves – accepted resignations from OCC Head Baseball Coach Phil Britton, from Title III Distance Learning Specialist Amanda Kotch, and from FCC Coordinator of Public Information & Marketing Trevin Milner – approved the non-college employment for Joseph Brown at JB Express Transportation LLC in Cisne and KTDA Trucking in Mt. Erie – hired Mandy Grepares as Coordinator of Academic Affairs – and approved a position title change for Jamie Carman from Director of Academic Advising & Records to Director of Academic Advising : the IECC Board’s next regular meeting will be October 15th in Fairfield.
