(OLNEY/NEWTON) As February is being noted as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, Olney Central College, along with the other IECC schools and community colleges across the nation, will be celebrating and recognizing their CTE programs that prepare students to enter the workforce. It’s CTE programs that provide more hands-on chances for students to learn and gain experience before joining a specific industry or profession. OCC first introduced the CTE program in 1969 and as of today, offers more than 40 degrees and certificates in CTE fields. And the best part is that CTE programs offer a cost-effective way for individuals to pursue their career goals by costing a fraction of the tuition at four-year institutions.
