(OLNEY/NEWTON) Regional and local authorities are still reminding residents of a “Scam Alert” that many folks have still been receiving a text message on their mobile devices from Illinois Tollway Services, indicating that its records show an unpaid toll invoice and says that to avoid additional charges the text recipient should settle the balance by going online at illinoistollwayinvoice.com as soon as possible. THIS IS A SCAM and is simply a ploy to get the money and personal information of the victims. Authorities say if you or someone you know gets such a text or message, do not logon to the website and delete the message.
