The Illinois State Police Troop 9, based in Effingham, has released the results of a recent Roadside Safety Check conducted in Richland County this past December. During the check, Troopers issued a total of 14 tickets and citations. Below are the local results from the operation:
- 5 tickets issued
- 3 written warnings
- 3 alcohol and/or drug-related citations
- 2 registration offenses
- 2 driver’s license offenses
There were no DUI arrests, and no citations were issued for occupant restraint or insurance violations.
