(NEWTON) The Jasper County HCE Toys for Kids is underway with a fundraising effort, but only for this week. $10 Mums are being sold in 9 inch pots with five colors to choose from, including yellow, white, orange, lavendar, or red, and while orders must be placed by 12:00 noon this coming Friday (9/27/24), the mums will be available for pick up between 9:00 and 12:00 noon Saturday morning at Rauch’s Jewelry in Newton. Orders should be placed as soon as possible, by calling or texting Connie Elliott at 217-259-9301. All proceeds from the Mum’s sales will benefit the Jasper County Toys for Kids Program in December. With over 200 youth so far in the program, funds are needed to make sure each child can be served.
