(BLOOMINGTON) While June is being observed as National Dairy Month, the Illinois Milk Producers Association says its a great time for statewide producers to promote and for statewide consumers to support the dairy industry. In fact, many producers are hosting farm tours to those of all ages, showing the public that dairy cows are treated better than the producers that care for them, plus many milk processors are introducing new products this month. Meanwhile, milk producers continue to keep an eye on important topics that influence the industry, such as highly pathogenic avian influenza, milk prices, input costs, and changes in the Farm Bill.
