(SPRINGFIELD) In last week’s Illinois Agricultural Prices Report : the February Agricultural Production Index increased 7.1% from January, but dropped 5.4% from February a year ago : the Crop Production Index was up 2.1% from February, but down 17% from the previous year : the Livestock Production Index increased 3.5% from January and was up 6.0% from the year before : producers received higher prices during February for market eggs, cattle, and hogs, but lower prices for corn, soybeans, and wheat. Plus there was increased monthly movement for cattle, milk, & broilers and decreased marketing of soybeans, corn, & wheat.
