LIC CONFERENCE TRACK MEET RESULTS (05/02/2024)

(NEWTON) In Boys High School Track & Field yesterday –

  • Olney won the LIC Conference Meet for the third year in a row with 134 points
  • The host Eagles and Robinson tied for second place, each with 111 points
  • Then Paris (58), Casey-Westfield (56), Marshall (46), Mt. Carmel (30), & Lawrenceville (5)

The champion Tigers had six Individual Champions winning their events.

  • Ian Pianfetti / both the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash
  • Casey Thomann / both the shot put and discus
  • Ian Winkler / long jump
  • Aiden Germak, Gavyn Cothern, Ian Winkler, & Ian Pianfetti / 400 meter relay

Olney had two second place finishers, also earning All-Conference status.

  • Maverik Cordell / pole vault
  • Gavyn Cothern / long jump

Six Tigers were medalists, finishing third in their events.

  • Gavyn Cothern / both the 400 meter dash and high jump (tie)
  • Jashaun McKinley / shot put
  • Ian Winkler / triple jump
  • Kaeden Davis, Paolo Davi, Isaac Zwilling, & Kaydn Cooley / 3200 meter relay

  • Parker Wolf / 400 meter dash
  • Luke Weber / 800 meter run
  • Jackson Sornberger, Tanner Whitaker, Hayden Borgic, & Brock Probst / 3200 m relay
  • Wade Wickham / pole vault

Newton had four second place finishers, also earning All-Conference status

  • Luke Weber / 1600 meter run
  • Evan Baltzell / both the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles
  • Jackson Sornberger, Luke Weber, Matthew Haskett, & Parker Wolf / 1600 meter relay

Six Eagles were medalists, finishing third in their events

  • Hayden Borgic / 800 meter run
  • Owen Schackmann / both the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles
  • Evan Zumbahlen, Brayden Bergbower, Caleb Flasch, & Drew Earnest / 800 m relay

  • Robinson won the LIC Conference Meet held at Newton with 143 points
  • The host Lady Eagles were second (127) and Olney was third (104)
  • Then Marshall (73), Mt. Carmel (39), and Paris (34)
  • The other teams were Casey-Westfield (33) and Lawrenceville (1)

The 2nd place Newton Lady Eagles had two Individual Champions winning their events.
