(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW Post is this coming Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale all this week and always open to the public. This week’s jackpot will be over $13,000 to the winner and they must be present to win. The Queen of Hearts ticket sales support the VFW Post Home, along with local Veterans and their families. (NEWTON) The Central Christian Church in Newton is hosting a fundraising Prime Rib Dinner this Saturday evening with serving from 4:00 to 8:00. Priced at only $25.00, each meal includes prime rib, baked potato, fresh salad, a roll, dessert, and drink, plus the serving options include dine in, carry out, and delivery in Newton. The “meal with a mission” proceeds will help buy Lifeline meals for those in need. All this Saturday evening at the Central Christian Church.

(NEWTON) The 7th annual St. Thomas School Trivia Night is this Saturday night at the Parish Center in Newton. With all team slots filled, those taking part will have a chance to win cash prizes, plus there will be a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, a wine pull, plenty of food, and more. All proceeds from the night will go back towards St. Thomas School.

(OLNEY) The Olney Masonic Lodge #140 will host a pancake and sausage breakfast this Saturday morning at the Olney VFW with serving from 7:00 to 11:00. Either dine in or carry out with tickets for adults and children at the door with a great menu. All are invited.

(PARKERSBURG) The Parkersburg Community Club will host a fundraising breakfast this Saturday morning from 6:30 to 11:00, serving up pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, coffee, and juice at the Parkersburg Community Building. It’s all-you-can-eat and pay at the door. All the money raised will go directly for community projects in Parkersburg. All ages are invited.

(OLNEY) It’s another “taco night” this weekend at the Olney VFW, sponsored by the Memorial VFW Auxiliary #4226, with serving from 5:30 to 7:30, or until sold out Friday night, including taco salad, tacos, nacho platters, and taco potatoes. Plus, a 50/50 drawing and a bake sale with proceeds to benefit the VAT Club at Richland County High School. Call in orders accepted after 4:30 by calling 618-392-4226, however voicemail orders will NOT be filled. All invited.

(CLAREMONT) The Claremont-Bonpas Fire Protection District will this Friday begin their Friday fish fries at the Claremont Fire Station and continue for the next seven consecutive Fridays, with all proceeds to go towards rescue equipment for the firemen. With a menu of fish, popcorn chicken, pork loin, ham, pulled pork, baked potatoes, other sides, and drinks, serving will include lunch from 11:00 to 1:30, all-you-can-eat, at $12.50 per person, and evening dinner from 4:00 to 7:00, priced at $18.50 for adults, $10.00 for children 6 to 13, and free for children age 5 and younger. That’s starting this Friday at the Claremont Fire Station. All are invited.
