The November 5th election saw high voter turnout and uncontested races across Richland and Jasper Counties, as local residents turned out in record numbers to make their voices heard. Below are the key results from both counties:
Mike Bost Re-Elected to Congress
Mike Bost has won re-election to serve Illinois’ 12th Congressional District. Bost, who has represented the district since 2014, easily defeated Democratic challenger Brian Roberts. The exact vote totals are not yet available, but the race was not competitive.
Richland County Election Results
Richland County saw a 72.64% voter turnout, one of the highest in the county’s history. The following local races were uncontested:
- Jason Plummer re-elected as District State Senator
- Blaine Wilhour re-elected as State Representative
- Zachary Holder re-elected as Circuit Clerk
- Steve Patterson re-elected as Coroner
- Chelsey Clark re-elected as State’s Attorney
- Kimberly Houchin re-elected as Supervisor of Assessments
- Brian VanBlaricum re-elected to County Board District 1
- Alexis McFarland re-elected to County Board District 3
- Morgan Henton re-elected to County Board District 5
Advisory Questions Results:
- Candidates Interfering with Election Worker’s Duties: 82% voted “Yes”
- Tax on Income Over $1 Million: 51% voted “No”
- Pregnancy Benefits in Health Plans: 59% voted “Yes”

Jasper County Election Results
Jasper County had an impressive 79.86% voter turnout, with similar trends in uncontested races. The following local races saw no opposition:
- Adam Niemerg re-elected as 102nd District State Representative
- Jamie Blake re-elected as Circuit Clerk
- Jason Meyer re-elected as Coroner
- James Treccia re-elected as State’s Attorney
- Tom Matson re-elected as Supervisor of Assessments
- Jessica Schackmann re-elected to County Board District 1
- Eric Spiker re-elected to County Board District 2
- Austin Francis re-elected to County Board District 3
Advisory Questions Results:
- Candidates Interfering with Election Worker’s Duties: 76% voted “Yes”
- Tax on Income Over $1 Million: 60% voted “No”
- Pregnancy Benefits in Health Plans: 50% voted “Yes” and 50% voted “No” (a tie, with 2,485 votes for each side)
