(NEWTON, ILLINOIS) The funeral service for Matilda Catherine Hemrich, age 91, of Newton, Illinois, will be held Monday morning, February 2, 2026, at 11:00, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, with burial in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The visitation is Sunday evening, February 1, 2026, from 4:00 until 6:00, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, with additional visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 before service time Monday morning at the church.
