(OLNEY) In Women’s Junior College Basketball in a rare Sunday night game –
- the OCC Lady Knights won an exciting overtime game by beating Lake Land, 82-75
with the win, the OCC ladies avenged a 14 point at Lake Land a week ago Friday night
- OCC was led by sophomore point guard Kadence Gipson with 21 points
- fellow sophomore Cortney Dove added 17 points and 9 rebounds
- former Olney Lady Tiger Kenzie Weiler scored 10 points as well
- the Lady Knights also played Saturday afternoon and lost to Danville Area, 74-50
The 2-5 Lady Knights are now off until after the Thanksgiving Break, they will be on the road to Parkland College on Wednesday, November 29th.
(OLNEY) In Men’s Junior College Basketball from Saturday afternoon –
- the OCC Blue Knights lost a tough road game up at Triton College in Chicago, 81-72
- that’s despite 27 points from sophomore Jakobe Thompson off the bench
- freshman center Ja’Vaughn Jones had 11 points and 8 rebounds
- double digit scoring also for sophomore point guard Darien Lewis with 10 points
The 3-1 Blue Knights are quickly back in action against another ranked opponent. OCC will host Southeastern Iowa tonight in “The Dungeon” with tip-time at 7:00.
