MISS ILLINOIS COUNTY FAIR QUEEN PAGEANT

(SPRINGFIELD) Illinois has a new Miss Illinois County Fair Queen, as crowned last night in Springfield at the annual pageant. It’s Miss Effingham County Fair Queen Krista Phillips, who was crowned by outgoing 2025 Fair Queen Johnna Fulcher of Geneseo, from Henry County. The other top selections included First Runner-Up is Miss Monroe County Riley McDermott, Second Runner-Up Miss Morgan County Belle Evans, Third Runner-Up Miss Ogle County Ruby Mulvaney, and Fourth Runner-Up Miss White County Laney York. Among the Non-finalist Awards, Miss Cumberland County Sophia Thornton received the Ruby Crumb Memorial Award. And there were several other downstate area Queens that were among the Top Sixteen finalists, including Miss Wayne County Kadence Smith, Miss Fayette County Avery Myers, Miss Shelby County Allison Worman, Miss Christian County Lydia Repscher, Miss Pana Tri-County Sierra Compton, Miss Edgar County Chloe Martin, and Miss Clinton County Amanda Brink. A tip of the hat to Miss Richland County August Michels and Miss Jasper County Madalyn Rauch for their participation and hard work in the pageant as well. The 115th Annual Convention of the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs will finish up later today in Springfield.
