(OLNEY/NEWTON) Our downstate dry weather conditions will end today as a powerful storm system lifts north/northeastward through the Plains into the Midwest. We’ll have rain this morning and after a break this afternoon, then more rain chances later tonight into tomorrow morning. Strong southeasterly winds will also kick up to around 15 to 30 miles-per-hour today through tomorrow before switching from the west. That will then bring in our coldest air so far this fall with daily highs in the 40’s and nightly lows at or around the freezing mark Thursday through Sunday. Stay tuned for updates and always monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details.
