MONTHLY AG TRACTOR AEM REPORT

(SPRINGFIELD) A monthly report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) showed year-to-date unit sales of ag tractors were down 13.3% and combine sales were down 20.4% from a year ago in 2023. AEM officials say the sales of tractors under 40 horsepower continue to soften following peak sales seen during the COVID-19 pandemic, plus it seems the current timing could be a factor in the drop in combine sales. One bright spot in the March report was a 3.2% jump in 100-plus horsepower tractor sales, which marks the second consecutive monthly increase. For more, check the AEM website available online.
