(SPRINGFIELD) Over the next several weeks, the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will conduct two major mid-year surveys, the June Ag Survey and the June Area Survey. In fact, the agency will contact over 5,500 producers across Illinois to determine crop acreage & stock levels as of June 1st, 2024. Farmers can respond to the June Ag Survey online, at agcounts.usda.gov or by mail or phone. They will be asked to provide details on planted & harvested acreage, including acreage for biotech crops & grain stocks. With all information to remain confidential, survey results will be available next month in June.
