(OLNEY/NEWTON) We hope you’ll join us here at WVLN-WSEI-WIKK-WOWA as salute all of our local and area FFA members and chapters during National FFA Week, which officially kicks of tomorrow, February 17th, and runs all of next week through Saturday, February 24th. It’s a time to share with the public what FFA is all about and to show the impact it has on members, not only during the school year, but every day of the year, even beyond school. A tip of our hat to all area FFA chapters and their membership now thru next week.
(OLNEY) The Olney FFA will begin its week-long list of activities with Dodgeball Night tomorrow night in the RCHS Auxiliary Gym, followed by FFA Church on Sunday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. On Monday, the Olney Chapter will meet at 6:00 at the Richland County Courthouse with a tour there as well. Next Tuesday will be the RCHS Teacher Appreciation Breakfast with a Petting Zoo for the Pre-K and Elementary students, then it’s the Chapter Luncheon next Wednesday, Ag-In-The-Classroom and the Grocery Dash next Thursday, the FFA Schoolwide Carnival Event on Friday, and helping out with the Bowling For The Kids event a week from tomorrow. Chartered in October 1929, the Olney Chapter is one of the oldest in the nation, now with more than 280 current Richland County members.
