(INDIANAPOLIS) An Illinois teen was named President of the National FFA last Saturday during the organization’s annual convention in Indianapolis. Thaddeus Bergschneider, age 19, the former Illinois FFA State President, was among 37 candidates from different state FFA associations who vied for six spots on the 24-25 National FFA Officer Team. The current University of Illinois freshman grew up on a fourth generation farm near Franklin, Illinois, in Morgan County. He’s the first Illinois student to lead the national FFA in three decades.
