(NEWTON) The Jasper County Solid Waste Program is continuing in 2026. While the dumpsters at the County Highway Building, the Newton site, are available Saturdays from 7:00 to 1:30, dumpsters at all other sites will be available from 7:30 to 12:00 noon or until a dumpster is filled after 10:30. Appliances are accepted at the Newton site only and must have the freon line open and compressor removed, plus one dumpster at the Newton site is for metal only. Items not accepted at any site includes no electronics, no yard waste, no tires, and no asbestos materials. The dumpster sites for every Wednesday in January 2026 includes the Wheeler location January 7th, West Liberty January 14th, Rose Hill January 21st, and Smallwood January 28th.
