(OLNEY) in Boys High School Basketball from the weekend –
The Olney Tigers won two games, one at home and the other on the road.
- Olney won their LIC opener Friday night at RCHS by beating Robinson, 46-39
- The Tigers then beat Carbondale at the Marion Shootout Saturday, 44-39
- Olney improves to 6-0 and hits the road for non-conference action tomorrow night
The Tigers will play former Apollo Conference foe Mt. Zion up in Macon County, with junior varsity action earlier than normal at 5:00, the varsity will start around 6:30.
(NEWTON) in Boys High School Basketball from the weekend –
The Newton Eagles split two games with a win at home and a loss on the road.
- The Eagles won their LIC opener Friday night by beating Paris, 63-26
- Newton lost at the Mt. Vernon Shootout, falling to Breese Central, 64-35
- Now at 4-1, the Eagles are back in action at home tomorrow night
Newton will host Altamont in the NCHS Gym with JV action starting at 6:00.
