NOBLE VILLAGE BOARD SEPTEMBER MEETING RECAP

The Noble Village Board convened for its regular session this past Monday night, where several key decisions were made:

  • Approval of Bills: The Board approved the payment of current bills as presented.
  • Employee Salary Increases: Following a recommendation from the Personnel Committee, the Board approved a $1.00 hourly wage increase for all full-time Village employees, effective October 7, 2024. Part-time employees will also receive a $1.00 increase, effective January 13, 2025.
  • Mayor’s Salary Increase: The monthly pay for the Village Mayor will increase from $100 to $250.
  • Meeting Pay Increase: Compensation for regular meetings will rise from $75 to $100 for the Mayor, Village Trustees, and Village Clerk.
  • Financial Audit: The financial audit for the fiscal year 2023-2024 has been completed with no issues reported.
  • Clerk’s Retirement: Village Clerk & Collector Tresa Hundley has announced her intention to retire within the next year. The Board will discuss hiring a replacement soon for training purposes.
  • Water Hydrant Flushing: Village workers will flush water hydrants on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 1st and 2nd.
  • Holiday Closure: Village Hall will be closed on Monday, October 14th, in observance of Columbus Day.
  • Next Meeting: Due to the holiday, the next Village Board meeting will be held a day later than usual, on Tuesday, October 15th, at 7:00 PM.

After a brief executive session, the meeting adjourned at 7:27 PM.
