(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night in regular session. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented : approved a $4,000 tourism donation to the White Squirrel Saddle Club to help provide Youth & Adult programs : approved a Class A Liquor License for the Best Western Plus in Olney : also amended the City’s Municipal Code to add the additional liquor license : agreed to amend the City’s Municipal Code in order to add an additional officer to the Olney Police Department : accepted the bids from Schrey Systems in Olney for all types of concrete needed by the City in the new fiscal year : accepted the bids from Carter & Sons Trucking in Fairfield for all types of gravel or riprap needed by the City in the new fiscal year : after an executive session to discuss personnel, negotiations, and real property, approved a resolution employ Darin Harmon as Interim Fire Chief in Olney, effective Friday, April 12th : then agreed to establish a full-time employee salary and Musgrove Aquatic Center manager salaries : and noted the hard work of city employees and others in making the White Squirrel Blackout event a success : next meeting is April 22nd.
