(NEWTON) The City of Newton Water Department today is working on a water main along South Lafayette Street & it expects having the water service shut off in the following areas :
- West Washington Street, from Stanley to Jackson
- (the St. Thomas School will have water, however the St. Thomas Church and its Parish Center will not have water at this time)
- West Reynolds Street, from Walnut to Lafayette
- Curtis Street, from 400 West Curtis to Jackson
- South Walnut Street, from Jourdan to Decatur
- South Lafayette, from Washington to Martin
- and all of South Church Street
Once the water service returns, this area will be under a boil water order until further notice.
