(OLNEY) The City of Olney has announced that due to public safety concerns, Main Street in downtown Olney, from Whittle Avenue to Boone Street, is now closed until further notice. This closure has been implemented solely as a safety precaution as demolition work is taking place, and while the project is being conducted by the property owner, not the City of Olney, the City is coordinating traffic control to help ensure the safety of all motorists, pedestrians, and nearby properties. The community’s patience and cooperation is appreciated in this matter. Again, Main Street in downtown Olney, from Whittle Avenue to Boone Street, is closed until further notice.
