REGIONAL TREMOR THURSDAY MORNING

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a small earthquake occurred near Grayville early yesterday morning at shortly after 4:00, at 4:12, to be exact. Measured with a 2.1 magnitude, the tremor had an epicenter five miles west/northwest of Grayville, in Edwards County. The quake was felt by some regional residents, but no damage or other problems have been reported to authorities. The last quake in the downstate area was over five months ago, on March 30th, a 2.4 magnitude event centered northeast of Mt. Carmel.
