(OLNEY/NEWTON) It’s another warm day on tap with a gusty south/southwesterly wind for this final day of March 2026, with more of the same expected the rest of this work week into the weekend ahead. However, as an approaching cold front drops southward into central Illinois, it will stall out tonight, and as it waivers back and forth, northward and southward, we’ll have on-and-off chances of showers and possible thunderstorms late tonight thru tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, before the frontal boundary finally moves out of Illinois. Then it’s some cooler air returning to the forecast for Sunday night and into the first of next week.
