REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the frontal boundary that’s been hanging over central Illinois for the past few days finally drops south of a line along Interstate 70 this morning, it will then reverse itself and work back northward as a warm front this afternoon. While there is a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm later today, the better chance of rain and possible storms is tonight, but mostly likely towards daybreak Saturday morning. As the rain chances come to an end Saturday, a high pressure builds into our downstate area, switching the wind direction and bringing in some cooler and drier air for Easter Sunday and the first of next week.
