(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a surface high pressure hangs over the Midwest, our downstate area weather continues to be dry with below normal temperatures, therefore making it one of the most pleasant Labor Day Weekends in history, albeit weather-wise. A cold front will move across the state next week, bringing with it a quick chance of rain by Wednesday or Thursday, all to be followed by some cooler air.
