REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a weak cold front drops some rain far to our north in the Upper Midwest, a shortwave ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate our weather with dry and cool conditions today through the weekend ahead, however there is an every so slight chance of some light rain or sprinkles as the frontal system moves across Illinois in the overnight hours today into early tomorrow morning. Then we’re back to dry conditions Saturday and Sunday with a slight warmup into the first part of next week and maybe some slight rain chances by midweek, although that may stay totally to our north. Stay tuned for weather updates and always monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more forecast details.
