REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a surface high pressure moves eastward into the Upper Midwest today, a couple of approaching mid-level shortwave weather troughs will move into central Illinois today, giving our downstate area a dry sky and a mixture of sunshine and clouds. As the clouds thicken tonight, minimal to no rain is expected with the main storm track to our south, giving us a slight chance of rain tomorrow and a little better chance of rain Sunday afternoon into Monday. Next week’s forecast at this time remains uncertain. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
