REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a short wave weather trough moves across northern and central Illinois tonight, a Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for areas to our north, where 2 to 5 inches of snow is expected. For our downstate area, we could get up to an inch of snow tonight, mostly before midnight, then we dry out tomorrow before another fast-moving weather system will bring us more snow chances Saturday through Saturday night, maybe an additional 1 to 2 inches. All to be followed by a quick blast of arctic air for Saturday night and Sunday, but a warm up by next midweek. Monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
