(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the cold and bitter air hangs around for another half day here in our downstate area, the wintry weather is far worse to our north, where blowing snow and nasty road conditions continue north of a line along Interstate 70. But as a high pressure ridge moves into the Midwest by tonight, we’ll have a signficant warm up today through Wednesday with temps increasing by nearly 50 degrees from now through Thursday afternoon, although the warmup will also bring with it a chance of rain, maybe up to a half inch, in some parts of our downstate area. Then after a colder Friday, we’ll warm up again with rain chances for the weekend. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
