(NEWTON/OLNEY) With the Illinois Crop Progress Report again not available this week due to the government shutdown, downstate area farmers in the ten-county region report that the 2025 fall harvest is pretty much complete. Other than a few double crop soybeans, just about all of the other soybean and corn fields have been harvested. Farmers and other ag-related workers are reminded to continue thinking “safety first” as they continue some fall tillage, equipment cleanup, fertilizer applications, and other outdoor farm work.
