(OLNEY) The Richland County Board met last night for its regular monthly meeting in Olney. The Board : approved the monthly financial report with all the bills paid for March – $176,405 in county general claims and $371,395 in non-county claims : with the election of Chelsey Clark as the new Resident Circuit Judge of Richland County, the Board last night appointed Mary Beth Welsh-Collins as the new State’s Attorney for Richland County, as she will be sworn into office today : in other business, the Board approved a liquor license and raffle license for the St. Joseph Stringtown Parish : approved the re-appointment of Jay Dee Waggoner to the Richland County Farmland Assessment Review Committee for a three-year term : approved the re-appointment of Linda Dickerson and Greg Mullinax to the Board of Review, each for two-year terms : approved a resolution for the temporary closure of North Noble Avenue for the respective May Fest, Freedom Festival, and Chowder dates in Noble : discussed, but took no action on amending the Solar Farm ordinance : approved the appointment of Brian VanBlaricum to the Health/TB Office Committee : discussed, but took no action of a license agreement to use a communications tower and building with the City of Olney : and after an executive session to discuss real estate, labor negotiations, and personnel, approved a three year labor contract with the Circuit Clerk and State’s Attorney’s offices : the next monthly meeting for the Richland County Board is May 14th, 2026.
