(NEWTON) The Jasper County School Board of Education had its regular monthly meeting for October last night in Newton. The Board : approved the monthly September bills as presented : in new business, approved the Fiscal Year 2026 FFA Alumni agreement with the District for the 3 Circles Grant : agreed to apply for the Fiscal Year 2026 State Maintenance Grant : approved board member Mandy Rieman as the IASB Delegate for the Joint Annual Conference coming in November : noted the District is awaiting the release of the Illinois School Report Card for the 2024-2025 school year, which should occur by the end of the month : heard about the District’s multi-tiered systems of support for students in the District with a focus on academic and behavioral supports : and in personnel – accepted resignations from JCJH Counselor Josey Hyatt and District Professional Amy McDonald : agreed to hire Grace Hartrich as the JCJH 7th Grade Volleyball Coach : and adjourned until the Jasper County School Board’s next regular monthly meeting in November.
