(FAIRFIELD) The Illinois Eastern Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting for September this past Tuesday night in Fairfield. The Board : approved the payment of all bills as presented : accepted the 2025 Reports and Plans for Emergency Response, Security, and Violence Prevention : approved revisions to the Wages and Salary Basis policies : agreed to list the property adjacent to the Olney Central College’s soccer fields for public sale with a deed restriction requiring that it be developed exclusively for student housing to serve IECC students : reviewed and accepted the IECC Athletics Report for Athletic Year 2026, providing an overview of student athlete enrollment, distribution by campus, scholarship awards given, and financial balances of each sport across the District : approved an agreement with the Illinois Capital Development Board to purchase furniture and equipment for the nearly completed Allied Health addition at Olney Central College : and agreed to name two campus facilities to honor generous donor support – the Lincoln Trail College new Process Technology Skills Lab will be named for Marathon Petroleum & the Frontier Community College Basketball Court at the new Athletic Facility will honor Jerry Cox : in personnel matters – approved the annual bonus for Mining and Industrial Technology Instructors and approved the employment of Jaeda Thompson as TRIO SSS Academic Advisor at FCC : the IECC Board’s next regular monthly meeting is October 21st.
