(OLNEY) The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting in November this past Tuesday night in Olney. The Board : approved the payment of all October bills as presented : approved the District’s estimated 2025 Tax Levy with a Public Tax Levy Hearing to be held prior to a special board meeting on December 9th at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel – that special meeting will be a working meeting from 9:00 to 4:30, followed by the board’s regular monthly meeting for December to begin at 5:00 : in other business, the Board waived a second reading and approved revisions to the Definition of Full-Time Employment Policy to update the IECC District’s Coal Mining Technology and Mining & Industrial Training : approved an insurance-covered roof repair for the Rowland-Nicholas Natatorium at Lincoln Trail College worth $83,966 : agreed to use a managed pricing strategy for the District’s next electricity supply contract to help control utility costs when the current agreement expires in 2026 : in personnel matters – approved resignations from Chad Killinger as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Wabash Valley College and from Amy “Grae” Drake as TRIO Upward Bound Academic Counselor at Lincoln Trail College – approved a change in employment status for Brooke Bower from Nursing Instructor at Lincoln Trail to Nursing Instructor at Olney Central College – and agreed to hire Ingrida Hartsfield as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Wabash Valley, Justin Heath as Custodian at Wabash Valley, and Eva Richardson as Temporary Full-Time Head Softball Coach & Special Project Director at Lincoln Trail : the next regular monthly meeting for the IECC Board of Trustees is December 9th, 2025.
