(OLNEY) The Richland County Board had its regular monthly meeting for December last night in Olney. The Board : approved all county claims as presented – $133,938 for county general claims and $277,042 for non-county claims : on a 6 to 1 vote, approved an ARPA disbursement of $167,000 to the Jasper County Health Department to relocate it’s Olney offices to the former DaVita Building with remodeling work and from 4 to 8 counselors to be available : approved the fiscal year 2023 Tax Levy as presented with no increase from the previous year : agreed to expend $17,043 in ARPA funds to the Sheriff’s Department to buy new tasers : agreed to use $36,000 in 708 funds to support Mental Health work in Richland County : approved the diesel fuel bids for 2024 from Fehrenbacher Oil : approved the yearly Liquor License for Ironsides, LLC west of Berryville : approved a contract with Charleston Engineering in Olney for the design and construction inspection on the Ste. Marie Road shoulder project : approved the Illinois Extension Service budget and funds for the RCDC (Richland County Development Corporation) : and took no action after a closed session to discuss negotiations and personnel : the Board’s next regular meeting is January 11th, 2024.
