RICHLAND COUNTY BOARD NOVEMBER 13, 2024 MEETING RECAP

The Richland County Board held its regular monthly meeting on November 13th in Olney. Here are the key actions and updates from the meeting:

  • Financial Approvals: The Board approved payments totaling $974,944 for October. This includes $743,753 for non-county bills and $231,191 for county general bills. The Fiscal Year 2025 budget was also approved as presented.
  • Road Budget Amendment: The Board agreed to amend the county’s road budget to include funding for necessary building repairs.
  • Rural 9-1-1 Signage: A low bid of $97,346 was approved for the purchase of 9-1-1 signs, posts, and hardware for rural areas.
  • Culvert Aid Petition: The Board approved a culvert aid petition for Claremont Township to assist with drainage and infrastructure improvements.
  • Board Appointments:
    • Dennis Graves and Cynthia Given were appointed to serve two-year terms on the Discover Downstate Illinois Board.
