RICHLAND COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL HAS A NEW PRINCIPAL

(OLNEY) It was last Thursday night, that the Richland County School Board took action to employ Mr. Jeffrey Thompson as the next principal at Richland County High School in Olney. Replacing current principal Darrell Houchin after his resignation, Mr. Thompson will officially assume his new duties on July 1st, 2025. Mr. Thompson’s career in education began as a Physical Education and Driver’s Education teacher in Dieterich in 1998, followed by teaching stops in Jasper County, Decatur, Martinsville, and then in Richland County, where he became principal at the Middle School in Olney in 2022. Mr. Thompson has 25 years of experience in education with this being his 19th year in school administration.
