(OLNEY) The Richland County School Board of Education had its regular monthly meeting for January last night in Olney. The Board : approved the December financial report with the monthly bill listing worth $353,379 : heard and reviewed the annual State of the District Report as presented by Superintendent Jason Fox – the report will soon be available on the District’s website at rccu1.net : agreed to purchase of three buses from Central States Bus Sales worth $409,940 with an additional $350 cost per bus for stop arm cameras : approved the purchase of one activity bus from Southern Bus & Mobility worth $93,471 : approved the $93,455 bid from BP Roofing for RCHS roof work : agreed to purchase the real estate at 205 North Lincoln Street for $50,185 : approved a contract with BLDD for the proposed parking lot project at RCHS : recognized the 18 RCHS seniors named as 2024 Illinois State Scholars : and in personnel moves – accepted resignations from Bus Driver Brandi Mitchell, from Hassan Steele as RCHS Assistant Football Coach & RCMS Boys Head Track Coach, and from Dakotah Brown as RCMS Boys Assistant Track Coach – transferred Shandy Holmes from RCES Paraprofessional to RCES Teacher Assistant – employed Taylor Stanley as Speech Language Pathologist – and approved Justin Wille and Kelly Klingler as RCHS Baseball Volunteer Coaches : the Board’s next regular monthly meeting will be February 15th, 2024.
