STATE SEN. JASON PLUMMER ASKING FOR HELP WITH ‘VALENTINES FOR SENIORS’

(EDWARDSVILLE) State Senator Jason Plummer is encouraging constituents in the 55th Senate District to help out with this year’s Valentines for Seniors program. The downstate lawmaker is asking students & teachers, scout groups, churches, organizations, & families to consider creating general homemade Valentines Day cards that will be delivered to nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and other long-term care facilities throughout the 55th Senate District. Cards can be dropped off from now until February 7th at the Senator’s District Office on West Gallatin Street in Vandalia. A drop box will be available inside the office during normal business hours, from 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. The 55th Senatorial District runs from the Richland/Lawrence County line westward to Edwardsville and from Ramsey southward to Centralia and includes the area counties of Richland, Clay, Marion, Fayette, and others to the west and southwest.
