Olney won the Class 2A Regional Championship at Eldorado High School
the Lady Tigers fought off a stubborn Carmi squad for a 50-42 victory
it was the 19th regional title for girls basketball at Richland County High School
and the first championship dating back to 2019
Olney was led by Aliyah Flittner with 17 points and Jaylen Gwyn with 16 points
Kelysse Weiler added 10 points as well
the 19-13 Lady Tigers advance to the Class 2A Sectional in Olney next week
Olney will play Paris in the 6:00 semi-final
the 7:30 semi-final features Teutopolis against Mt. Carmel
then the championship game will be Thursday night in Ron Herrin Gym
